Respite Care
This program gives you or your loved one all the benefits of long-term care but for a minimum one week/maximum three month stay.

Never Retire Your Ability to Get Out and About
You’ve always been one to be on the go, and with our complimentary transportation options, you have many hassle-free ways to get to everywhere you want and need to be.
Ride and Shop with Our Transportation Services
Our 14-passenger bus offers weekly shuttle service on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The service is complimentary for the destinations listed below.
The Monday/Wednesday Shopping Circuit goes to Wegmans, Kohl’s Fair Lakes Shopping Center, Trader Joe’s, Dollar Store, USPS, New Gate Shopping Center, Greenbrier Shopping Center and Fair Oaks Mall.
Monday/Wednesday Mornings: Departs 9:30 am, returns 11:30 am
Monday/Wednesday Afternoons: Departs 1:00 pm, returns 3:00 pm
The Friday Morning Shopping Circuit goes to Wegmans and Walmart only, departing at 9:30 am, returning at 11:30 am.
Get Social
We are pleased to offer complimentary sedan service for medical appointments and other personal transportation needs. This service is available on a first-come, first-served basis and covers round trips totaling up to 16 miles. A mileage charge will apply to any trips exceeding 16-miles round trip.
Religious Services
Our transportation service to local churches is complimentary and is offered every Sunday to The Woodlands residents.
Ride in Style
Special occasions call for a stylish ride. Experience the fun and freedom of our complimentary limousine, available for our residents. Whether it’s a girls’ shopping outing, a group lunch, or a day exploring local attractions, our drivers ensure you travel in comfort and style. With our limousine service, every outing feels like a special occasion…. just one of the many ways we make life at The Woodlands more enjoyable and carefree. Reservations are required.

At The Woodlands Retirement Community, dining is more than just a meal—it is an experience.
Residents enjoy a variety of delicious and nutritious options prepared by our talented culinary team. Our main dining room offers a restaurant style atmosphere, serving freshly prepared meals with a diverse menu that changes weekly, catering to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences, including Vegan and Vegetarian menus.
For more casual dining, our bistro provides lunch Monday thru Saturday. Special dietary needs are always accommodated, ensuring every resident can enjoy flavorful and satisfying meals in a welcoming environment. At The Woodlands, dining is a highlight of the day, bringing residents together for both nourishment and connection.
The Woodlands Retirement Community offers a flexible meal plan designed to suit the needs and preferences of our residents. Each resident receives one-meal per calendar day that can be used in our various dining venues, main dining room or bistro. Residents may use the meal credits for family and friends. Up to six missed meals may be carried forward to the next month and are only valid for that carry over month.
At The Woodlands, we understand the importance of a clean and comfortable living space. That is why we offer weekly housekeeping service for all residents. Our dedicated housekeeping staff takes care of routine tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and changing linens, ensuring your home stays tidy and fresh. This service allows residents to focus on enjoying their retirement without the hassle of household chores.
Our on-site maintenance team is available to handle any repairs or upkeep needs, from routine maintenance tasks to unexpected issues that might arise in your residence. Whether it is repairing a leaky faucet, addressing electrical concerns or general home upkeep, our team ensures that your home remains in excellent condition.
With prompt, professional service, we take care of all the little things so you can focus on enjoying life in a safe, well-maintained environment.
The Woodlands offers complimentary transportation services to make getting around easy and stress-free for our residents. Whether you need to attend a medical appointment or run errands, our scheduled transportation options are here to assist.
We provide regular services to popular shopping centers, community events, and local attractions, as well as personalized transportation for medical visits or other essential appointments, complimentary service is limited to 16 miles round trip of the community.
The Woodlands offers four financial options to meet the diverse needs of our residents. We provide a range of contract choices, including 90%, 80% or 70% refundable entrance fee as well as a rental option for select number of apartments.
At The Woodlands, we understand the joy and companionship that pets bring to life, which is why we are a pet-friendly community. We welcome residents to bring their pets, recognizing the important role they play in promoting emotional well-being and enhancing daily living.

Special Holiday Dining& Private Events
At The Woodlands we believe that every holiday deserves to be celebrated in style. Special holiday brunches include Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Each mark the occasion with unique menu offerings, often enhanced with entertainment by a harpist. Our creative food carvings – from Halloween pumpkins to summertime watermelons – are a visual treat at our Sunday brunch buffet tables and holiday celebrations.

The Woodlands is proudly owned and managed by the Bainum Family. With nearly 60 years of experience providing excellence in senior care, the Bainums’ vision for The Woodlands was to create a boutique style independent living community where neighbors and staff enjoy a genuine sense of connection. Here, you’ll discover a caring community that truly reflects the warmth and welcome that comes with being part of one big family.

Fee for Service
The Woodlands is an independent living community that offers a 90%, 80% or 70% refundable entrance fee financial plan option. As a resident, you can choose from one- and two-bedroom apartment style residences ranging from 887 to 1,894 square feet.
In addition, we also offer a rental plan option for a select number of apartments.

Should you ever require a transition to an enhanced level of care, you’ll enjoy priority access to The Gardens, our on-site assisted living community that shares the same sense of warmth and welcome, along with exceptional surroundings, services and amenities.
