This week, we’re thrilled to share the experience of Carol C, a current resident who has called The Woodlands home for a year.
Carol describes the friendly and welcoming environment created by both the staff and residents. She especially appreciates the food service staff’s efforts to integrate new ideas! But what she loves most are the beautiful grounds and raised gardens. Today, we proudly celebrated resident Jim Wescoat as he was awarded a Quilt of Valor, a heartfelt gesture of thanks for his incredible service to our country.
At just 17 years old, Jim left high school to join the Marines, just one month after Pearl Harbor. He bravely served for 45 months as an anti-aircraft machine gunner aboard the USS Denver, protecting the skies in the Southwest Pacific during WWII.
Thank you, Jim, for your courage, sacrifice, and dedication to our nation. ❤️💙🇺🇸
