Our residents recently came together to support the Quilts of Valor Foundation, raising funds that were matched by The Woodlands, resulting in a $2,400 donation! This incredible contribution will help create approximately 60 handmade quilts to honor and comfort veterans across the country.
The Quilts of Valor Foundation is dedicated to wrapping service members and veterans touched by war in comforting, handmade quilts to show gratitude for their sacrifice and service. In the past, several of our own resident veterans have been honored with these meaningful gifts.

On July 4th, we had the honor of celebrating one of our resident Hank Eckel as he was awarded a Quilt of Valor in recognition of his 33 years of distinguished military service. Hank flew helicopters during two years in Vietnam and went on to have a fulfilling career, retiring as a Colonel. 🇺🇸
