What We Know About Sleep

On February 15th The Woodlands hosted guest lecturer Roger Koment, Ph.D., creator of a nonprofit medical association for professional development, consulting with medical institutions, medical associations, and governments from around the world. Dr. Koment spoke about sleep. What exactly is sleep, and why is it so important that we spend fully one-third of our time in that quiescent state?  His presentation examined these questions and expanded on the neurophysiology of energy production and the necessary cleanup after energy has been expended.
