After successfully running Fairfax Nursing Center since 1964, founders Robert and Charmaine Bainum, along with their adult children Renee, Kevin, Doug, Linda and Shar, created two new concepts for senior living situated on 17 beautiful, sprawling acres—The Gardens Assisted Living, opened in 2001 and The Woodlands Independent Living, opened in 2008.
Although The Gardens was a new endeavor for the Bainums, the foundation for its acclaimed success is based on the family’s tried and true reputation for excellence in providing compassionate care and exceptional service.
